Mrs. Allen Dies; Funeral Tuesday
Mrs. Alex (Tilda) Allen 69 passed away early Sunday morning at her home on the Rankin Road. The Allen's had formerly lived in Knox County but had made Cocke County their home for the past 21 years. Survivors: husband Alex Allen of Newport; daughter Mrs Bill Allen of Route 5 Newport; step children; Mrs Fred Sawyers, Mrs Grave Valentine, both of Newport Ernest and Floyd Allen of Cleveland,Ohio and Bill Allen of Newport; Brothers Fred Adcock of Chattanooga, Otis Adcox of Wartburg, Tennessee three grandchildren Billy Violet, Patsy Jane and James Robert Allen
The funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Ray's Chapel Baptist Church, with the Rev Junior Cameron officiating, burial will follow in the church cemetery.
