Randall Lee Parsons, age 61, of Jefferson City went to heaven Sunday, January 4, 2009 at Capital Region Medical Center. He was born January 28, 1947 in Pontiac, Michigan, the son of Warren and Margaret Clark Parsons, who preceded him in death. Randy was a 1965 graduate of Waterford Township High School in Waterford, Michigan.
Randy served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, attaining the rank of Sergeant.

Randy was employed with United Parcel Service in Jefferson City for 27 years until his retirement in 2004. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Jefferson City and was an avid golfer.

Friends will be received from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 8, 2009 at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Morrow officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Heart Association.
