Rebecca 'Becky' Marie Payne, the daughter of David William and Ann Marie (Lindemann) Payne, was born October 8, 1988, in Great Falls, MT. Her family moved to Everly where she received her education, graduating from Clay Central-Everly High School in 2007. She briefly attended Briar Cliff College in Sioux City, IA, and worked several part-time jobs. In 2009, she moved to Sioux Falls, SD, where she also worked at various jobs.
While in Sioux Falls, Becky met Adam Shriver, and they were blessed with a daughter, Lynn Marie on June 17, 2010. Becky later moved to Valley Springs, SD, where she worked as a teacher's aide for Once Upon A Time and Building Blocks. She enjoyed reading books, watching Disney movies with her daughter, drawing and cross-stitching. Becky truly loved spending time with her family.
Becky passed away at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD, on Thursday, September 20, 2012, at the age of 23. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Glenn Lindemann.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Lynn; special friend, Adam Shriver of Valley Springs, SD; parents: Ann Payne of Everly, IA, and Dave Payne of Onawa, IA; two sisters: Heidi Wittrock and husband, Rick of Milford, IA, and Mellissa Payne and special friend, Jeremy Birchard of Spencer, IA; one brother, William Payne of Everly, IA; maternal grandmother, Pat Lindemann of Everly, IA; paternal grandparents, Janet and Keith Payne of Onawa, IA; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 24 at Warner Funeral Home in Everly, IA with Father John Gerald officiating. Interment will be at a later date at Lone Tree Cemetery in Everly, IA.
