Gloria Elizabeth Gaffney Ryan, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 in Wilmington, Delaware.

Gloria was the youngest of seven children, born on November 22, 1921 in Peekskill, New York to Anna Quinn Gaffney and Julian Aloysius Gaffney. She is the loving wife of Robert J. Ryan for 68 years; devoted mother of three sons, Jeffrey and wife, Janet, Kevin and wife, Mary and Robert Ryan; cherished grandmother of Mary Grace and Eliza Quinn Ryan, and Katherine Elaine Hartsky; and great grandmother of Blake Douglas Wheeler. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Kathryn Ryan and Eleanor Parce; many loving nephews and nieces, extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 5 from 10:00 - 11:00AM at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Road, Wilmington, DE 19808. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM. Interment will be held privately for her family in All Saints Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a memorial gift may be made to the American Heart Association , PO Box 15120, Chicago, IL 60609.
