Lisa Diane Darling, the daughter of Greg and Sandi (Moores) Darling, was born Oct. 25, 1994, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha. Her parents brought her home to Audubon where she spent her first year. In 1995, the family made their home at Underwood where Lisa attended pre-school before moving to Plattsmouth, Nebr., for a year. They then made their home at Toledo where Lisa completed 1st through 7th grade. Her father's acceptance of the position of Superintendent of Schools brought the family to Humboldt in 2008. Lisa enjoyed being a wildcat she loved and participated in basketball, volleyball, softball, and track. She gave 110 percent in her activities and always emphasized the positive in competition. She was a caring girl who loved life, was happy-go-lucky, and could brighten your day when you needed it with random acts of kindness. She loved being with her family who will remember her ornery, happy smile and the twinkle in her eye. She enjoyed boating and tubing and especially being a cheerleader for her brother. She had a knack for bringing friends closer together. Her desire to be a friend to all was best demonstrated by her desire to be an organ donor at the time she received her driver's permit. Her gifts through the donor network will anonymously benefit untold numbers of people in medical need.
