OKLAHOMA CITY TIMES OBITUARY FOR ONA TAYLOR, DATED WEDNESDAY, MARCH 1, 1972
"Mrs. Ona Taylor: Services for Mrs. Ona Taylor, 76, of 1032 SW 26, will be 10 A.M. Thursday at Capitol Hill Funeral Home. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery. She died Tuesday at her home.
Mrs. Taylor, an Oklahoma school teacher for 43 years, was a past secretary of the Oklahoma City Class Room Teachers Association, past president of the Kappa Kappa Iota teacher's sorority and a member of the American Association of University Women. She was a life member of the NEA and OEA and a member of Crestwood Baptist Church.
She received her BS degree from Central State University and her masters degree from Oklahoma University. She came to Oklahoma City from Bowden in 1937.
Survivors include her husband, Edwin, of the home; six brothers, Early Earp, Oba Earp, John Earp, and Hugh Earp all of Chandler; Otto Earp and Claud Earp of Stroud; and three sisters, Mrs. Coy Miller of Chandler, Mrs Ina Collyar of Shamrock, and Mrs. Ara Cook of Arizona."
