Annatje Bergan was the daughter of Hans Hansen and Sarah Jorise Rapalje Bergen. The above birth date may be incorrect. According to the book Early Settlers of Kings Co. page 32 she was baptized on July 12, 1640. There is mention of the family in A Documentary History of the Early Settlers of the Dutch Congragation of Oyster Bay page 266. Another possible spelling for her first name may be Anneken. She married Dirck Jansen Hoogland born in Maerseven, Holland in 1635. They married Oct. 8, 1662 in NY. They had three children Annetje b. 1663 in Bedford, Long Island, NY, Jan Dircksen b. 1666 in Bedford, NY and Willem Dirckson b. 1669 in Flatbush, Kings Co., NY.
Jan Dircksen (FAG #172216745) married Jacoba Ryerse (FAG #172216803). This is the family I am from. After Annatje passed away Dirck married Annetje Fedden and they had 4 children.
Dirck Jansen died in 1721 in NY. Jan Dircksen Hoogland died in Hunderton, NJ and it is unknown when Jacoba Ryerse died. Jan and Jacoba had 7 children and their oldest son Derrick b. 1690 in Flatbush, NY married Mary Vankirk in 1717. They were my 6x gr. grandparents.
I do not know for sure if Annatje was buried in Flatbush. I had found a possible date of death of 1677.Daughter of Hans Hansen and Sarah Jorise Rapalje.
