Mrs. Glover was born and reared in Florence and was the daughter of the late Walter Brabham and Lacy Chamblee Robertson Patillo. She moved in 1946 to Greenville, where she has been a resident for over 50 years.
Mrs. Glover was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. She was a former member of Buncombe Street United Methodist Church and the Morgan Wesley Sunday School Class. She was the interim director of Anderson Roads Mission and was also a volunteer social worker for 50 years. At age 80, she wrote a book, "Christmas at The Mission and Then Some", about her work.
Surviving are two daughters, Miss Suzanne Glover, of Honea Path, and Kathryn Sydney Glover Friddle, and her husband, Frank E. Friddle Sr., of Honea Path; four grandchildren, Frank E. Friddle Jr., and his wife, Sandra, of Honea Path, Treci F. Williams, of Belton, John Reed Friddle, and his wife, Angie, of Honea Path, and Kelli F. Holly, and her husband, Steve, of Wake Forest, N.C.; and seven great-grandchildren, Rachel Friddle, Rebecca Friddle, Kathryn Williams, Collins Friddle, Kate Friddle, Stephen Holly and Reed Holly.
A memorial service will be at Trinity United Methodist Church, South Main Street, Honea Path, on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003, at 2 p.m. After the service, the family will be at the home of her daughter and son-in-law: Mr. and Mrs. Frank E. Friddle Sr., Belton Honea Path Highway.
