Tony Hartman

Tony Hartman, aged 54 years, Volant R. D. 1, died this morning at 7:30 o'clock in Bashline-Rossman hospital, Grove City, after being ill for about one year. Mr. Hartman who was employed as a millworker at the Steel Hoop company, Sharon, was born in this state May 2, 1894. He lived in the Volant community all of his life and was a member of the Volant Methodist church. Mr. Hartman was a veteran of World War I. Survivors include his widow, the former Miss Harriet Wilson, whom he married August 8, 1919, and four children, Mrs. Irene Barczyk, Volant R. D. 2; Robert Hartman, at home; Mrs. Vina Caldwell and Mrs. Violet Caldwell, both of Mercer R. D. 6. Francis Hartman, a son, died three years ago. Rev. H. A. Silvis will conduct funeral services Saturday at 2 p.m. from the late residence, Volant R. d. 1, where friends may call after 7 o'clock today. Interment will take place in Plaingrove Presbyterian cemetery.
