Carl Everett “Bud” Stapleton, 81, of Grayson, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland with his loving wife of 61 years by his side. He was born Nov. 8, 1931, in Carter County, a son of the late Charles F. and Edna Adkins Stapleton. He was retired from Kentucky Electric Steel and was a farmer. In addition to his wife, Joyce Davis Stapleton of Grayson, he is survived by two sons, Douglas Stapleton of Grayson and Donnie (Debbie) Stapleton of Olive Hill; a sister, Frances (Owen) Meenach of Grayson; a brother, Clinton (Helen) Stapleton of Grayson; three grandchildren, Crissy (Eric) Steagall, Justin (Megan) Stapleton and Whitney (Shane) Salley; and a great-granddaughter, Erica Lynn “the monkey” Steagall. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2013, at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson by Ray Simmons, minister. Burial will be in East Carter County Memory Gardens.
