Mr. Samuelson, age 86, of Meridian, died Monday, July 1, 2013 in Sevierville, Tenn.
Mr. Samuelson retired as Master Chief Petty Officer after 27 years of service in the U.S. Navy.
He was a member of Poplar Springs United Methodist Church. Mr. Samuelson delivered Meals on Wheels for over 30 years. He was a lifetime member of the VFW, member of the Naval Fleet Reserve, Lakeview Golf Club and Lifetime Quest.
Survivors include his wife Evelyn Harrison Samuelson; sons, Paul, David L., and Wes Samuelson; step-daughter, Darlene and numerous other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Williamson Samuelson; parents, Norman W. Samuelson, Sr. and Leslie Farnell Samuelson; brothers, Alvin Samuelson and Melvin Samuelson.
