ROGER OLTMANN
Services were held Feb. 19 for Roger William Oltmann at the Zion Lutheran church, Monticello, with burials in the Wayne Zion cemetery. Rev. Harvey Igniters officiated.
Mr. Oltmann, 54, died Feb. 17 at University Hospitals in Iowa City following a brief illness.
He was born June 6, 1926 in Cass township, the son of William and Meta Dirks Oltmann. On Dec. 10, 1950,he married Patsy Fuller at the Zion Lutheran church. The couple made their home in Langworthy for 20 years before moving to Anamosa in 1970.
Mr. Oltmann had been employed at the Iowa State Men's Reformatory for 26 years.
He is survived by his wile, Patsy; four children, Denny, Cedar Rapids; Duane and Eric, Anamosa and Mrs. James (Donna) Lightfoot, Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren; a brother, Fay Oltmann, Anamosa; three sisters, Mrs. John (Nadine) Blythe, Anamosa; Mrs. Leo (Margaret) Bonjour, Olin; and Mrs. Marvin (May) Clark, Anamosa.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Casket bearers were Robert C. Dirks, Charles Guilford, Larry Bader, John Husman, Larry Hansen and Warren Wortman.
