The Rev. Marcus H. Rosser, age 66, of Newton, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008, at his home. Interment will follow in Newton City Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The Rev. Rosser was born June 1, 1941, in Newton, to the late James Marcus and Esther Atkinson Rosser. He attended Newton High School and received his Batchelor of Science Degree from Troy University. He served as a United Methodist Minister for 32 years in the Alabama and West Florida Conference. The Rev. Rosser was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. "Fuzz", as he was affectionately called by his many loyal and dedicated friends, enjoyed reading, watching old western movies on television and Alabama football.
