Lena Bridges Mars Hill 82. Died 8-7-1995 at a Presque Isle hospital. She was born 12-20-1912 in Westfield, the daughter of John and Rose (Milton) Guiggey. She taught school for 38 years in Mars Hill and Bridgewater. After retirement she was a substitute teacher for SAD 1 school system. She was past matron of Friendship Chapter No.140 OES of Mars Hill and past member of Lunar Chapter No. 126 OES of Presque Isle. She was a past Mother Advisor and a active Advisory Board member of the Mars Hill Rainbow Girls. She was also a past noble grand of the Rebekah Lodge. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 58 years, Kermit Bridges of Mars Hill, 2 sons and a daughter in law, Vaughn Bridges of Presque Isle, Leslie and Madeline Bridges of Littleton, 5 grandchildren, Brent and his wife anne of Chileota, FLA., Kent and his wife, Karen of Crofton, MD., Lisa of Dallas, TX., Brady of Houlton and a special grandson, Jon and his wife, Tami of Westfield, great grandchildren, Adam, Marybeth and William of Florida, Alexys and Miranda of Westfield, a brother, Gerald and his wife, Doris Guiggey of Westfield, a sister and her husband, Roberta and Ray Guerrette of Caribou, several nieces and nephews, including 2 special nieces, Hilda Bridges of Mars Hill and Pauline Kennedy of Westfield. Burial Kings Grove cemetery.
