A 22 year-old Farmer from Boston, MA, David Cox enlisted on February 17, 1864 and was mustered into service with the 59th Massachusetts on February 20th. Captured at Petersburg, VA on June 17, 1864, David died at Andersonville on July 29, 1864 of Chronic Diarrhea.
