A 42 year-old Grain Measurer from New York, Henry Everts enlisted in the 2nd Mass. H.A. on December 5, 1863 and was mustered into service on December 7th. Wounded and taken prisoner at Plymouth, NC on April 20, 1864, Henry died at Andersonville on July 31, 1864 due to Chronic Diarrhea.
