The son of Harrison and Joanna R. (Jenney) Haynes.

Charles was only 15 years of age and a Farmer from Upton, MA, when he enlisted on December 2, 1863 and was mustered into service on December 7th. It's unknown as to when and where he was taken as a prisoner. He died at Andersonville on July 29, 1864 due to Chronic Diarrhea.
