Barbara Smith Cagle Walker of Knoxville, Tennessee, formerly of Sweetwater, Tennessee died on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 after an extended illness. Born March 20, 1935 in Knox County, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman F. and Alma L. Smith; brothers, Samuel Thomas Smith and Alvin Eugene Smith; sister, Doris Eureka Snavely and her first husband, James M. Cagle, Sr. She is survived by her second husband, David Walker; sons and daughter-in-law, Charles W. and Sandra Cagle of Franklin, Tennessee, James M. Cagle, Jr. and Jay Patterson; several grandchildren; nieces and nephews and special family friends. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 AM on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at the Sweetwater Valley Memorial Park for a 11:00 AM graveside service and interment with the Reverend Don Rockholt officiating. The family expresses profound thanks to the caregivers at Norris Health and Rehabilitation Center for their excellent care and support during her illness.
