Leaving her earthly home to be with her Savior, Patricia "Pat" Bennett, 84, of Akron, passed away on Tuesday, July 02, 2013, in the Lancaster General Hospital.

She was born in Williamsport, the daughter of the late Howard and Mildred Steffen.

Pat was baptized in the Grace Brethren Church in 1993.

She worked at Ehrlich's Exterminating for about ten years and then some part-time jobs until her retirement in 1996.

Pat's hobbies over the years included crocheting afghans for family members and friends, making doll clothes, building doll houses and furniture, and collecting vintage glassware. In her later years, she kept busy playing card games and other games on her computer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband: Clyde Wood; her second husband: Ray Bennett; and, her son: Scott Francis Wool.

Pat is survived by her daughter: Kathy, wife of Kerry Lodish of Lititz and Joan, wife of Rick Landis of Ephrata; her sons: John Wool of Castro Valley, California and Jeffrey Wool, husband of Louise Gabel of Lititz; her thirteen grandchildren; her twenty great-grandchildren; and, her sister: Millie Gearhart of Muncy.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 09, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the Stradling Funeral Home, 30 N. 9th Street, Akron with Chaplain Glenn Beard officiating.

Interment will take place in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
