Tony spent most of his life in and around Oklahoma before entering the United States Marine Corps at age 17 in 1961. During his tours of duty, Tony fought courageously in many battles of the Vietnam War and was awarded the Purple Heart. After the war Tony was a recruiter for the Marines. Then after 20 years of service he retired as a sergeant with full military benefits. He enjoyed telling stories of his time of service, remembering with pride the men who fought alongside of him and referring to them as his family. These men in turn fondly called him "Sarge."

After traveling and living in many parts of the United States, Tony made his home in Branson West, Missouri. He was an accomplished fisherman and even owned his own guide business. He was also a talented painter and he enjoyed playing pool winning many regional and local tournaments. He loved animals especially his beloved Shih Tzu, Elizabeth. Tony was a member of the Choctaw Nation in southern Oklahoma. He was buried with full military honors.
