Mr. Towe was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He had been preceded in death by a son, William Harley Towe, in 1964.
Survivors include his wife: Mrs. Ruby Mae Carver Towe of Blairsville; four daughters: Lillie Jarvis of Buford, Georgia, Lorene Walker of Lenoir, N.C., and Wilma Stover and Ruth Reynard both of Blairsville; two sons: Paul Towe of Ballground, GA and Jim Towe of Blairsville; three sisters: Alpha Carver of Hoschton, GA, Neonie Carney of Alpharetta, GA, and Nettie Minter of Acworth, GA; twenty-four grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 23, 1993 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Tommy Jones officiating. Special music for the service was presented by Susie Phillips, Sarah Kelley, and Louise DeLong. The following gentlemen served as casketbearers: Pat Young, Junior Towe, Michael Towe, Neal Jarvis, Sam Jarvis, Dale Walker, Travis Walker, Darren Towe, Derrek Towe, Gary Ledford, Marty Ledford, Steven Towe, and Anthony Cruse. Interment was in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
