Carolyn was born on January 29,1922 in Monroe,N.Y.On February 13,1943 she married Howard Asa Van Etten in Houston,Texas.She remarried Ralph McLaughin on Dec. 30,1970.In 1980 she relocated to Oceanside,California,with her son and husband Ralph.Carolyn was a graduate of Monroe High School and Drake Business School.She was recognized for her distinguished service with the Monroe Building and Loan Co.,Clerk for Judge Peter Bush,and Town Clerk for the Town of Monroe,N.Y.She was a member of the Eastern Star,Volunteer Firemans Woman's Auxiliary and the Republician Club.She will be remembered as a loving Mother and wife with great compassion for both family and friends.
Carloyn is survived by her daughter Dale "Van Etten' Temmel,her son-in-law Stephen Temmel and grandson's Stephan and James Temmel.Also survived by Mark D. Van Etten and stepdaughter Daphne McLaughlin.
