Cora Lee Wain McCauley passed away on June 30, 2013 surrounded by her beloved family. Cora was born in Nixon, Nevada on March 27, 1927 to Dewey Wain and Flora McCloud. Cora attended Stewart Indian School and was a member of the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe.
In 1949, she married the love of her life, Marco McCauley who preceded her 2004. Cora and Marco raised their family in Reno, Nevada. She was a proud homemaker who enjoyed cooking, sewing, babysitting and working in her yard. She was a kind and generous lady known to most simply as Grandma. After Marco passed away, Cora moved to Wadsworth and lived with her granddaughter Shannon and her dog Maddie.
Besides Marco, she was preceded in death by her daughter Diane Martinez and sons Ralph Wayne and Richard McCauley as well as her grandson Kyle Melendez.
She is survived by her sister Arlene McMasters, brother Stanley Smith, daughter Catherine Melendez (Randy), son Timothy McCauley (Joyce) and daughter Linda McCauley (Burton), grandchildren Shannon Heiderman, Joseph Martinez, Melissa Melendez, Byron Melendez, Monica Atlookan (Elmer), Michelle McCauley, Matthew McCauley, John McCauley, Nokoni Martinez and Daryl Wayne as well as many other relatives.
