He was born January 11, 1935, in Newport Township, Luzerne County, Pa., to Ralph Edmund and Anna (Sherman) Sharp Sr., and they preceded him in death.
Mr. Sharp had served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He had lived in the Cadillac area for the past 25 years. He had worked as a business consultant for many years.
On April 10, 1976, in Hazleton, Pa., he married the former Julianne Harach, and she survives him with their children: Jim (Nancy) Sharp of Texas, Gary (Suzanne) Sharp of Virginia, Holly Sharp of Pennsylvania, Josh Sharp of Cadillac, Denise Gerhard (Ed Birckheimer) of Manton, Colleen (Teddy) Hammon of Indiana, and Shawn Rudis (Erin) of Pennsylvania; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jane (Chuck) Nash of Pennsylvania.
A private family gathering will be held. His final resting place will be Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cadillac Senior Citizens Center. Arrangements were made by the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac.
