Luanne B. (Brazeal) Guinn, age 76, of Versailles, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2011, at the Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles. She was born October 4, 1934, in Hartville, Missouri, the daughter of the late James Chester and Helen Louise Frink Brazeal. On January 1, 1954, in Mansfield, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Robert C. Guinn, who preceded her in death on January 28, 2004. Luanne graduated salutatorian of her class from Mansfield High School. She attended Drury College in Springfield and was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. Before moving to Versailles, Luanne earned her Wings at Delta Airlines in Atlanta, Georgia. Luanne and her husband co-owned and operated Guinn Oil Company for 43 years. Upon retirement, they enjoyed spending the winter in Lakeland, Florida. She was a member of the Versailles Westminster Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her son, Robert "Cort" Guinn and wife Mindy of Versailles; her daughter, Susan Guinn Carr of Liberty; nine grandchildren, Cortney Guinn, Abby Guinn, Adam Guinn, Chet Jenkins, Mara Jenkins, Steven Moore, Whitney Moore, Debra Carr, and Tiffany Friend; her sister, Dianne Waggoner and husband Larry of Lebanon; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon Friend. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, March 2, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles with the Reverend Danny Owsley officiating. Entombment will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Mount Rose Memorial Park, at the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
