MRS. H. RICHIE DIED TODAY AT 5

Funeral Services Friday Afternoon at 2 From the Hoskins Funeral Home

Mrs. Harry Richie passed away this morning about 5 oclock at her home at 506 South Depot street after having a heart attack. She was taken ill yesterday, although for some time she has been in poor health from the effects of a goiter.

The funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 oclock from the Hoskins funeral home in charge of Dr. Gilbert Voorhies. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. Richie was formerly Miss Elizabeth Kennedy. She is survived by her husband and son Robert, and her mother Mrs. A. E. Kennedy and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. George Hendricks, Harry Kennedy and Mrs. Elmer Holmes all of this city and Louis Kennedy of Des Moines.

Were In Charge Of Dr. Gilbert Voorhies And Interment Was At Evergreen

The last rites for Mrs. Harry Richie, who passed away Wednesday morning, were held yesterday afternoon at 2 oclock from the Hoskins funeral home in charge of Dr. Gilbert Voorhies.

Mrs. Voorhies and Miss Gladys Hall sang the songs. The pall bearers were nephews of the deceased: Roy Hendricks, Earl Hendricks, Paul Hendricks, Wendall Holmes, Earl Kane and Emry Drake. Interment took place in Evergreen cemetery.

Those from away for the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Rider and son Guy and daughter Eva of Burlington, Mrs. William Hawkins of Washington, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hill of Winchester, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kennedy of Des Moines, Miss Helen Kennedy of Ottumwa and Emry Drake of Batavia.

OBITUARY

Mrs. Harry Richie

Elizabeth Alice Kennedy daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Kennedy was born at Birmingham, Iowa, Dec. 15, 1881 and departed this life on Oct. 3, 1928 at her home, 506 Depot street, Fairfield, Iowa.

On August 26, 1906 she was united in marriage with Harry Richie. To this union was born one son, Robert J., who with the husband, and aged mother, Mrs. A. E. Kennedy, and the following brothers and sisters survive: Mrs. George Hendricks, Harry Kennedy, Mrs. Elmer Holmes of Fairfield and Lewis (sic. Louis) R. Kennedy of Des Moines.

Mrs. Richie was a kind and loving mother and a good neighbor. She was always thoughtful of others people's needs before her own. She will be greatly missed by her many friends and relatives.
