Lucille Jenkins, 75, of Spruce Pine, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital in Spruce Pine, NC. She was a native of the Stecoah Community in Graham County, but had lived in Spruce Pine, NC for over 50 years. Lucille was a faithful member of Berry Chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilburn and Nora Estes Jenkins, and her husband, William Edward "Bill" Jenkins. She is survived by her children, Debra Miller, of the home, and Eddie Jenkins of Stecoah; her sister, Ivalee Gibbs of Robbinsville, NC; her brothers and sisters in law, Harold and Nettie Jenkins, Randall and Brenda Jenkins, all of Robbinsville, NC, and Michael Jenkins of Marion, NC. She has 11 nieces and nephews, 26 great nieces and nephews, and 5 great great nieces and nephews, whom loved her dearly. She had many friends and was a great Christian example to all who knew her. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Eternal Believers Baptist Church, 1487 Fontana Road, Robbinsville, NC 28771. Reverend Bobby Joe Green will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday at the Church, prior to the service. Committal services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday at Holder Cemetery in Stecoah. Townson-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
