Susan Jean Page, 55 years, of Newport, MI passed away Monday, April 1, 2013.
Born January 24th, 1958 to James and Mary Hilbrecht, she was the second of five children, and the only girl, but that didn't bother her at all. Her brothers are Jim (Kathy) Hilbrecht, David Hilbrecht (deceased), John Hilbrecht, and Tom (Michele) Hilbrecht. She thoroughly enjoyed her role of aunt to Katie, Ryan, Jimmy, Matt, and John.
She enjoyed cooking, gardening, talking on the phone with friends and family, music, and most certainly laughing. Her personality was larger than life and she always had a funny story to tell, though most times would be laughing too hard to get it out. Never one to be shy, her smile was inviting and her heart open. She genuinely loved people, but most notably the little people who had the privilege of calling her Grammy, as was undoubtedly obvious to anybody who spoke with her.
She leaves behind three children to cherish her memory, Kelly (George) Fahrbach, Michael Eric Katterman, and John Freiberg, as well as the true joys of her life, grand-daughters Adelyn and Brielle Fahrbach.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother and best friend, David. Always "partners in crime", it is not lost on her family that she passed away on the anniversary of her beloved brother's death. In fact, it's quite fitting.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-8 PM in the Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd. in Monroe, where funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Friday, April 5, 2013 at 11:00 AM. The Rev. John Fahrbach, pastor of Trinity Grace Brethren Church in Gibsonburg, OH will officiate.
