Mrs. Garret (Hazel) Rogers, 85, of Wheat Ridge, CO died in Columbine Manor Rest Home February 27, 1986.
She was born to Mr. and Mrs. L.B. Hightshoe November 28, 1900 in Waverly, Iowa.
On March 20, 1924 she was married to Garret Rogers in Ottumwa. They farmed near Midland before moving to a farm in Hiland Township south of St. Lawrence in the spring of 1940.
When Mr. Rogers retired they moved to Miller and in 1976 they moved to Wheat Ridge.
She was a member of Rainbow Welcome Club, Blue Grass Barracks auxiliary and St. Ann's Catholic Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. George (Velta) Vogel, and Mrs. Russel (Marcia) Purrington, Arvada, CO; two sons, Thomas, Gillette, WY and Robert, Woonsocket; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and two sisters.
Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Joyce, a son, Jerry and her parents.
Funeral services for Mrs. Rogers were held March 3 in St. Peter DePaul Catholic church in Wheat Ridge. Burial was in the Fort Logan National Cemetery.
