Abrielle Kira Bartels, 14, of Newport, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013. She was born April 13, 1999 in Arizona. She attended Milton Hershey School, where she was an honor student and member of the student government, anti bullying team and the swimming team. She loved kayaking and writing stories.
Abrielle is survived by her father and second mother, Frederick Bartels and Karen Fitzpatrick of Newport; mother, Julie Bartels of Steelton, brothers, Joshua Bartels of Philadelphia and Jacob Bartels of Newport; maternal grandparents, Kathy and Paul Nenninger of Arizona and paternal grandparents, Dora and Ted Bartels of Arizona. She was preceded in death by maternal great grand parents, Helen and William Slabonik.
Family and friends are invited to services on Friday at the Hoover Funeral Home in Hershey with a viewing from 10 AM until the funeral service at 11 AM. Burial will follow in the Hershey Cemetery.
