MARIE (RUSHMEYER) LANDHEER, 85, of 500 W. Winfield, Morrison, died September 25, 1977 at Morrison Community Hospital following an extended illness. Funeral services were held at Our Savior Lutheran Church with the Rev. David Graef officiating. Prayer services were held at the Renkes-Reynolds Funeral Home and burial was at Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison.

Marie Catherine Rushmeyer was born January 2, 1892 in Genesee Township, the daughter of Onke and Marie (Hans) Rushmeyer. She was reared and educated in Genesee Township and married Ernest Landheer on Sept. 27, 1917. They farmed in Mt. Pleasant and Union Grove Townships for 35 years and moved to Morrison in 1952. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher and member of the Ladies Aid.

Survivors include her husband, Ernest, two sons, Walter and Robert, both of Morrison; three daughters, Mrs. Esther (Donald) Wiebenga of Morrison, Mrs. Ruth (Ren) VanDerLeest of Lyndon and Mrs. Erma (Willard ) Zuidema of Morrison; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. -- Contributed by Barry Johnson
