Gary Lee Tyler, 80, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, passed away on June 29, 2013 after an extended illness. Gary was born in Roxbury, NY to the late William and Evelyn Tyler on December 29, 1932. After graduating from Roxbury Central in 1950, he was drafted to the United States Army where he served as a member of the Fourth Army Band as a trumpet player. He then attended Hartwick College where he earned a degree in Business Administration. After relocating to South Florida in 1958, he worked for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft until his retirement in 1992. Gary loved golfing, fishing, Friday night Bridge with friends, John and Nancy, and especially traveling with his wife and soul mate, Barbara. He is preceded in death by his son, Mark Tyler. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Graiff Tyler; his children, Lisa Tyler and Stacy Tyler of Bluefield, WV; his stepchildren, Karen (Cliff) Vaughn of Murfreesboro, TN, Kristy (Bennett) Grimm of Atlanta, GA and Kevin (Julie) McDonald of Craig, AK; and several step-grandchildren. Following cremation, a private family committal service will be held at the South Florida National Cemetery.
