GREENFIELD – Thelma Irene (Faulstich) Hayes, age 93, of Greenfield, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Golding Living Center. She was born on October 8, 1919 in Hot Springs, South Dakota as the daughter of Henry Edward and Margaret Mae (Hill) Faulstich. She was happily married to Floyd Walter Hayes for 50 years.

She was a homemaker her whole life. Mrs. Hayes was a member at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church of Greenfield, Indiana, a past Worthy Matron and was also a member of over 50 years of the Eastern Star in Orange County, California.

Surviving her are her son, Rodney Dale Hayes of Indianapolis; granddaughter, Karen S. (Jim) Clark of Largo, Florida; great-grandchildren, Christina I. (Christopher) Hammons of Greenwood and Kellie M. (Tim) Pollard of Greenwood; great-great-grandchildren, Joshua J. Hammons, Jason J. Hammons, Andrew E. Pollard and Noah R. Pollard; sister-in-law, Jewell Faulstich of Oregon. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; daughter, June Dorton; and six brothers.

A memorial service will be held at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church. Pastor Warnner will be officiating, please contact the church for date and time. Burial will be at a later date at Fair Haven Cemetery in Santa Ana, California. Arrangements are being handled by Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory in Greenfield.
