James W. Nipper, 67, Colona, died Sunday, Aug. 30, 1998, at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline.
Mr. Nipper was born May 27, 1931, in Hazen, Ark. He married Shirley A. Mundt May 27, 1950, in Rock Island. She died Aug. 1, 1993.
He had been employed at John Deere Plow Planter for 34 years as a drill press operator, retiring in 1982. He was a member of UAW 747 and First Freewill Baptist Church, Colona.
He enjoyed sports and traveling.
He is survived by two sons, Dale and James; 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; a sister Tommy and a brother, Tom.
