Doyne Maxine was born August 29, 1932 to Charles Emmitt and Minnie Peters Petit.

She graduated from Logan High School in 1950.

On September 24, 1950, she married Dwight Willard. They were blessed with three sons.

They spent most of their married lives on a farm near Logan where they raised their sons.

Doyne worked for Westmont Care Center for over 20 years.

She was active in her church and community activities including the Merry Homemakers Club and Eastern Star.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 24 at 10 a.m. at the Logan Methodist Church for Doyne Maxine Willard, who passed away December 21 at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha, NE.

Rev. Michael Owens will officiate at the service. Bearers will be Gary Dickinson, Byron White, Searle White, Joe Grote, Rick Craft and Merle Sass. Honorary bearers are Rob Dickinson, Ron Greenwood, Rex Fetter, Darrell Fahrenkrog, Jack McMillan, and LaVerne Wertz. Interment will be Harris Grove Cemetery after a short interment service at the Harris Grove Chapel.

Survivors include her husband, Dwight, of Logan; sons, Craig (Pat) of Rockville, MD, Bob (Rose) of Logan, and Jim (Shelly) of Logan; nine grandchildren; four brothers: Ralph of Mesa, AZ; Donald, Dale and Robert all of Logan; one sister, Delores Myers of Logan; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Roger, Kenneth and Leonard; and two sisters, Bernice Merchant and Norma Stoddard.

Schumacher Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Memorials in her name may be given to the Logan United Methodist Church, the Harris Grove Memorial Chapel, Heart Foundation or Diabetes Foundation.
