Albert Maurice Anderson, son of Mr & Mrs Albert Anderson, was born 26 August 1915 at Maple Plain, Mn., and was baptized Oct 7, of the same year. He moved to Shell Lake, 2 March 1917; graduated from the rural school (Maple Plain?) 24 May 1929; confirmed 17 July 1932 at Salem Luthern church, Shell Lake, where he was a member. he died Wednesday afternoon, 23 June 1937, at the age of 21 years, 9 months and 26 days.Cause of death was a fatal injury caused be a tractor running over his body while he was engaged in picking rocks from a field. The tractor, driven by Walter Skriver, was doing some new breaking on the Anderson farm and he had been watching the plows when the fatal accident happened and did not see the young man in the path of the tractor. It is believed that Maurice had collapsed while working there and had fallen down in the furrow, either by heat prostration or an attack of some kind which thrust his prostrate body in front of the passing tractor.
Funeral services were held from the Salem Luthern church 26 June, at 2 p.m., by Rev. C.D. Mattson, who also sang, "Rock of Ages" in church and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus" at the grave.
