He was a native of Scott County and attended the Presbyterian Church. He was a retired employee of the Mead Corporation after 28 years service, a member of the IOOF No. 170 of Gate City and a member of the Board of Directors of the Scott County Farm Bureau.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. MABLE A. LOWE, Gate City; three sisters, Miss LEXIE LOWE and Mrs. BILL (MYRTLE) SHUPE, both of Clinchport and Mrs. THEODORE KEITH, Bristol, VA; three brothers, CHARLIE LOWE, Bristol, VA, RUFUS LOWE, Morrison City and PAT LOWE, Des Moines, IA.
