Barbara Rogers:
Services for lifelong Richardson resident Barbara Jean Ashby Rogers, 68, are at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Episcopal Church of the Ressurrection. She died Tuesday, November 10.
A graveside service is planned for 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
Born July 1, 1930, in richardson, Mrs. Rogers graduated from Richardson High School in 1946 and the University of Texas in 1950 with a degree in Microbiology.
She married John E. Rogers, Jr., on January 29, 1949.
Mrs. Rogers was a member of The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, where she was active in the Altar Guild, Daughters of the King and Vacation Bible School.
She was preceded in death by her father, R. K. Ashby. Survivors include her mother; her husband; a son; a daughter; five grandchildren; and three brothers.
Memorials can be made to The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection.
