CAMDEN – Dorothy "Dot" Trundy Daley, 80, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007, at Penobscot Bay Medical Center, Rockport. Born July 12, 1927, she was the daughter of Ernest and Ruth (Rankin) Trundy.

She graduated as valedictorian from Stockton Springs High School. After World War II, she met Frederick R. Daley and they were married July 10, 1946, in Camden. They had one child, Kathleen Dorothy, in whom they took great delight and pride. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, Camden, where she had been active in church activities in her earlier years. Dorothy was a devout Christian, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a dedicated homemaker all of her married life. For several years she was an American Red Cross nurses' aide, bringing much joy to the sick through her private duty nursing. Dorothy was much loved and cherished by her daughter and grandchildren, and was a delight to be with. Her unselfishness and compassion brought great joy to all who knew her.

Surviving is her daughter, Kathleen Daley of Camden; four grandchildren, Michele Jones and her husband, Kendall, and their children, Isaiah and Isaac Timberlake, of Hope, David DuBay and his wife, Jennifer, of Bowdoin, and Jennifer DuBay and her children, Takoda and Keariel Peasley; and Jessika DuBay, of Cambridge, Mass.; one sister, Marion Littlefield of Georgia; two brothers, Earl Trundy and his wife, Ina, of Sun City, Ariz., and Louis Trundy and his wife, Bettie, of New Hampshire; many nieces, nephews and several cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband of 59 and 1/2 years, Frederick R. Daley, Dec. 27, 2005; a sister, Irene Fogarty; two brothers, Ernest Trundy Jr. and Carl Trundy; one grandchild, Michael DuBay; and one great-grandchild, Ariel Peasley.

Calling hours will be 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, at Long Funeral Home, 9 Mountain St., Camden. The funeral Mass will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, Camden, with the Rev. Arthur Pechillo officiating. Burial will be held after at Mount Prospect Cemetery, Stockton. Bangor Daily News Website.
