Jessie Wyatt Carpenter, age 65, of Hampton, died Thursday, July 7, 2005, at his home.

He was born April 5, 1940 at Lake Village, he was a son of the late Lemual and Kate Rowe Carpenter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lemual and Kate Rowe Carpenter; a daughter, Monisa Lynn Carpenter (Find A Grave Memorial# 22324653); a sister, Vivian Harris and a step-daughter, Brenda Neely (Find A Grave Memorial# 16297586).

Survivors include his wife, Etta Sue Lambert Carpenter of Hampton; two sons, Leonard Ray Carpenter and Michael Lynn Carpenter, both of Monticello; four stepsons; one daughter, Vinita Kay Del-Angelo of Monticello; three stepdaughters; two brothers, Lloyd Carpenter of Monticello, Floyd Carpenter of Warren; four sisters, Betty Griffin of Star City, Audrey Harris of Warren, Dorothy Carter of Crossett, Pat Smith of Monticello and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 9, at Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Nutt and Rev. Earl Johnston officiating. Burial was in Moore's Chapel Cemetery near Hamptonby Benton Funeral Home of Hampton.
