James Rufus Frierson, Jr. was horn on September 28, 1941 to the late James and Kittie Mae Frierson.
He entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at his home in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee.
He was a graduate of the Class of 1960 from Clarke Training School. He was employed by Stauffer Chemical Company for 36 years and was also employed by Smelter Corporation until his retirement.
He was united in Holy Matrimony to Deborah White on September 30, 1995.
He was a member of lighthouse Baptist Church in Columbia, Tennessee.
Survived by loving and devoted wife Deborah White of Mt. Pleasant, TN; seven daughters: Tori Frierson, Cynthia Frierson and Natalie Hudspeth all of Mt. Pleasant, TN, Laketra Harvell of Columbia, TN, Lisa (Johnny) Jones of Smyrna, TN, Rene (Marcus) Regland of Indianapolis, IN and Tina McGloffin of Queens, NY; five sons: Benton Frierson, Brian White, Terry White, James McGloffin all of Mt. Pleasant, TN, and Blake Frierson of Cookeville, TN; 19 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; sister Cora Armstrong of Battle Creek, MI; brother James Sparkman of Hohenwald, TN; aunts Elisabeth Clemons of Cleveland, OH, Paulene Dennis of Mt. Pleasant, TN, and Ethel (Lawrence) Webster of Indianapolis, IN; 5 sisters-in-law, 5 brothers-in-law and a host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The body will lie-in-state 4-8 pm Friday, May 15, 2009 at Roundtree, Napier & Ogilvie's Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be 1-2 pm Saturday, May 16, 2009 at Ironside Tabernacle with funeral service to follow. Rev. Leland Webster is officiating.
Interment in Hunter's Cemetery.
