On September 2, 1950 he was united in marriage with Jo Anne Theresa Royce of Keota, Iowa. To this union 2 children were born: Jan, age 5 years and Gary, age 3 years. Since his marriage they have made their home at Pella, residing at 615 Maple St. At the time of his death he was employed by the Continental Forests Products Co. of Cedar Rapids as a salesman for Southeast Iowa and Northeast Mo. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church at Pella.
Surviving him beside his wife and two children are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Garret Visser of Bussey and a host of relatives and friends.
The Rosary was said Wednesday evening, August 15th at 8:00 p.m. at the Van Dyk-Duven Funeral Home. Requiem High Mass was said by Father Paul C. Albers at the Knoxville St. Anthony's Church on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Burial took place at the Keota Catholic Cemetery at Keota, Ia. with Father C. S. Kempker of Keota assisting. Military honors were paid Carol at the grave by Van Veen-Van Hemert Post of the American Legion No. 89 of Pella, Ia.
