After graduating from Harvard in 1911, Morgan entered the family mills, leaving to serve as captain in an airplane fabrics division during WWI.
His first wife was Bernice Fisher, who sang with the Boston Opera company. She died in 1946. November 1948, he married Isabel Jennings. He died at the New Bedford hospital. His funeral was held at Grace Episcopal church on 15th July 1949, and he was buried in South Dartmouth.
