Karen Renee Burkhart of the Fleenor Town Community of Jonesville, VA was born in Pennington Gap, VA on Monday, August 12, 1968 and passed away on Friday, June 28, 2013 at the Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN at the age of 44 years. Karen attended the Fleenors Chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her mother, Connie Blanken. Also Karen's second husband, David Sargent. She is survived by her father, Robert Blanken of Jonesville, VA. One daughter, Kayla Delph and husband, James of Jonesville, VA and one grandson, Daniel Delph. She is also survived by two brothers, Tim Blanken and wife, Dottie of Dryden, VA and Jeff Blanken of Jonesville, VA.
Funeral services will be held at 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 2, 2013 in the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Jonesville, VA with Rev. Butch Clem officiating. Visitation will be held from 7:00 P.M. Tuesday until time of services. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at the Fleenor Huff Slemp Cemetery in Fleenor Town. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 A.M. Wednesday to go to the cemetery.
