Corp. Anderson Addy served his country during the American Civil War, enlisting at age 19 on 2/22/1864 as a Private. He was a member of Co. G., Ohio 62nd Infantry, and later Co. I, 57th Ohio Infantry. He was promoted to full Corporal on 3/9/1865, and was mustered out on 9/1/1865.
On 12/19/1877 Anderson applied for a pension . His wife applied for a widow's pension on 7/16/1896.

Mrs. Eliza Jane Addy, an aged and respected resident of Glasford, passed away at her home Sunday, April 2, 1933, after a long illness. The funeral services were held Tuesday morning at LaMarsh Baptist Church, of which the deceased was a member. The pastor Dr, Rev. A. C. Lillie, officiated. The singing was by Mrs. Mabel McElhaney and Mrs. Lois Baker, accompanied by Miss Bessie Craig. Interment was in Maple Ridge Cemetery. The pallbearers were six grandsons, Dewey, Delbert, Donald and Henry Cowser, and Chester and Ralph McQuown,
Mrs. Addy was Eliza Jane Duff, and she was born in Gurnsey county, Ohio, June 15, 1848, a daughter of Alexander Brown Duff. Her marriage to Anderson Addy took place September 15, 1869, and they came to Illinois 55 years ago. Mr. Addy died June 9, 1896, and Mrs. Addy has made her home in Glasford most of the time since that date. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Kate McQuown, Pekin, and Mrs. Ora E. Cowser, Peoria, and two sons, Charles and Tilden Addy, Glasford. Two sons, Albert and Marion, died a few years ago. Mrs. Addy leaves a brother, and a half-brother in Ohio, and three sisters, Mrs. Louisa Estep, Peoria, and Mrs. Minnie Purcell and Mrs. Lucinda Shelly, in Ohio. Mrs. Addy was a member of the Baptist Church, a kindly soul, and was loved and respected by the entire community.
