HENRY C BRECHT DEAD
STRONG CITY--Henry C. Brecht died Thursday night at Newman Memorial County Hospital, Emporia.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p. m. Sunday at Grace Lutheran Church, conducted by the Rev. Donald Schedler, pastor, under the direction of the Brown Funeral Home.
Henry C. Brecht was born March 11th, 1885, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Brecht, in Morris County. He married Martha Wehrenberg, Nov. 9th. 1910 at Bazaar. He had farmed in Chase County most of his life, and moved to Strong City in 1943.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Dean Schroer, and Mrs. Howard Green, Strong City, Mrs. Bufford Bastin, Admire, and Mrs. Charles Nelson, Lockwood, Mo.; four sons, Henry, Emporia, Martin, Yankton. S. D., Wayne, Redondo Beach, Calif., and Milton, San Mateo, Calif.; a brother, William, Lincoln. Neb.; five sisters. Mrs. Henry Gardner, Russell, Mrs. Edward Gardner, Albuquerque, N. M., Mrs. Rose Schmidt and Mrs. Bert Overstreet, Emporia, and Mrs. Florence Williams, Paxico; and 26 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, a brother, and a daughter, Mrs. Lena Rucker. He was a member of the Lutheran Church. The casket will be open at the funeral home.
