He was a Member of Etowah Baptist Church, a member of Etowah Lions Club and the North Carolina Baptist Disaster Relief Team.
He retired with 32 years service from Southern Bell.
Mr. Gunn was a Veteran of the US NAVY.
Survived by his son, Greg Gunn and wife Nina, his daughter Tina Gunn Weede and husband Daniel and four grandchildren.
