BRANCH, Mrs. Adell T., departed this life Tuesday, August 24, 2010 after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Beulah Edmondson and Elias Harvey Harper; husband, Douglas F. Branch Sr.; son, Arthur Wayne Taylor; grandson, Anthony Taylor; siblings, Mary Taylor, Delphine Johnson and William Holden.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Janet Anderson Brunson; son, Harvey E. Taylor Sr. (Tyranne); three grandchildren, one devoted, Philip H. Brunson IV, Harvey E. Taylor Jr. and Tia L. Taylor; three great-grandchildren; eight stepchildren, one devoted, Antionette Allmon (Walter Sr.); 14 step grandchildren; five sisters, Bernice Harper, Wilma Horne, Carolyn Faulks-Dunbar, Jacqueline Matthews and Elvira Johnson; five sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews and friends, among them devoted, Tommie and John Murrell of Kinston, N.C., Madlyne Hunt, Sandra Henderson and Quincilee White.

Remains rest at Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull Street. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 30, 12 noon at Swansboro Baptist Church, 3801 Midlothian Turnpike. Rev. Dr. H.R. Plummer Sr., pastor officiating. Interment Maury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Swansboro Baptist Church Building Fund.
