Tim Justice, 44, of Opelika, who passed on Saturday, April 23, 2011, in Montgomery, AL, is now sitting in the presence of Jesus Christ, his Savior. Tim loved Jesus and served Him from the heart. Tim truly cared about each person who touched his life. God gifted Tim with the ability to listen and he took time for everyone who crossed his path. Two of Tim's favorite things were spending time with those he cared about (one-on-one, over coffee) and Auburn football. Tim was the Dean of Applied Business at Columbus Technical College in Columbus, GA, along with teaching on a adjunct basis at Southern Union Community College. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Asbury College in Wilmore, KY, and a Masters in Economics from Auburn University. Tim was a long time member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Opelika, where he served God and ministered to many through the years. Tim is survived by his wife of 21 years, Tammi, and their four children, Elijah, Melody, Selah, and Kerah Justice of Opelika; his mother, Mavis Ison of Sandy Hook, KY; his father, Gene (Daisy) Justice of Chillicothe, OH; his brother, Jeff (Marita) Justice of Waddy, KY; the brother of his heart, Kevin Stout, and a number of other family members. Tim was a wonderful, loving husband and father and caring teacher. This earth will miss a fine, godly man. Visitation will be held on Thursday night, 5:00 - 7:00 PM, at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home in Opelika. A Celebration of Life Service will take place at Trinity United Methodist Church, Opelika, on Friday, April 29, 2011, at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Earl Ballard and Rev. Joe Lay officiating. Burial will follow at Garden Hills Cemetery. Deep appreciation is extended to everyone who touched Tim's life and who loved him. Words cannot express the heartfelt thanks to all who have come to our family's side during this time. We love and thank you. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully wishes for donations to be made to the Tim Justice Children's Fund at Auburn Bank. This fund has been established in the name of Tammi Justice, for the Tim Justice Children's Fund, and memorial donations can be made at any branch of Auburn Bank. Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home & Crematory is directing. www.jeffcoattrant.com
