Heather Purser Porter, 26, Sheffield, died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005, at Helen Keller Hospital.
She was born Jan. 20, 1979, to John David and Brenda Carnes Purser. She was a chemist for TVA and was a member of the Red Bay Free Will Baptist Church.
Heather was preceded in death by her grandparents, Fray and Inez Carnes; aunt, Gina Hardin; and her cousin, Amy Hester.
Heather was a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister. She was very creative and caring, loved scrapbooking and traveling. She left her family with a lot of precious memories, and she will be greatly missed.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21, at Red Bay Free Will Baptist Church, with Brother Barry Raper and Brother Tom Scott officiating. Burial will be in Franklin Memory Gardens, Russellville, Ala.
Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, is directing.
Survivors include her husband, Chris Porter, and her son, Connor Porter, both of Sheffield, Ala.; her mother, Brenda Purser, of Red Bay, Ala.; father, David Purser, of Killen, Ala.; sister, Lorin Purser and her fiance, Matthew Madden, of Nashville, Tenn.; special sister, Julianna Jones, of Vina, Ala.; half brother, Alex Purser, of Killen, Ala.; grandparents, Ralph and Joyce Purser, of Red Bay, Ala.; and her father and mother-in-law, Roger and Kathy Porter, of Addison, Ala.; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pallbearers are Mark Carnes, Micah Funderbunk, Justin Purser, Lee Doss, David Porter and Adam Hester.
Visitation was Sunday at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Ala.
